Department of Mechanical Engineering

All products must be manufactured from planes to medicine, from electronic chips to food. Mechanical Engineering is present everywhere and is supporting all other fields. Furthermore, technologies are highly diverse with new processes created every year. Choosing the right method of production and optimizing the manufacturing process is the key to the success of a product in terms of quality and price. This explains why a good production manager is central to a company. This department is training our students to become experts and experienced in this domain in order to become valuable managers in their respective companies.

Pushparaj

Mr. Maria Antoine Pushparaj

Designation: Professor

Specialization: Computer Aided Design & Manufacturing(Mechanical)

"Mechanical engineering is known for their broad scope of expertise and for working on a wide range of machines. Mechanical engineering often is regarded as the broadest of the traditional engineering fields, there are many opportunities for specialization in the industry or technology. Mechanical engineering invents machines and structures that exploit those elements in order to serve a useful purpose and solve a problem. Original design and the practical issue of making something that works are the themes behind any engineering endeavor. An engineer creates a machine or product to help someone solve a technical problem. The engineer might start from a blank sheet of paper, conceive something new, develop and refine it so that it works reliably, and all the while satisfy the constraints of safety, cost, and manufacturability."

Mr. Maria Antoine Pushparaj is the faculty for the department of Mechatronics and production department. He has done his master’s in computer Aided design and Manufacturing (Mechanical) with 7 International and 14 National journals and has a wide range of outsourcing calibration service for various industries and has teaching experience in ANNA university and Pondicherry affiliated engineering colleges. A lifetime member for IISTE.

Jorge AyarzaMr. Jorge Ayarza – B.Sc.,

Designation: Master trainer

"I have been in the area of renewable energy, plastic recycling, and computer-controlled machinery industry for over 30 years, such as plastic recycling, machine design, small hydro turbine, and small wind turbine design and manufacturing. I’m the founder of renewable energy social enterprise in India. My teaching is mainly project-based. I love to share my mindset: Waste are not waste anymore but opportunities to build new products or have new sources of energy. It is a very different way to see the world around us which makes the students much more creative and efficient."

Mr. Jorge Ayarza – B.Sc. – Master trainer: Adjunct professor for the Electric and Electronics course. He has a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the US and works on projects such as 3D printers for construction, upcycling, etc. He is an expert in Electrical Engineering and Renewable Energy. He built a wind generator.
